2010 Debate Camp Brochure

Summer Debate Workshop

July 25 - July 31, 2010

Great Topic Lectures:  Dr. Jeffrey Jarman once again wrote the Forensic Quarterly, insuring that you'll get topic lectures by someone who knows about the Poverty topic.

Easy Schedule:  Specific time set aside each day to work on cutting cards, making blocks, writing arguments, and giving practice speeches.  AND, it will be done in small lab groups (no more than 6:1).  You'll get one-on-one attention and learn to debate.  PLUS, you will rotate between staff members to allow exposure to everyone on the staff.

Exapanded & Qualified Staff:  All staff members bring exceptional college experience along with a commitment to prepare you to succeed in the state.  You will leave the workshop prepared to win at any level.  And, we've hired enough staff members to make sure you are always working in a small group.

Guaranteed Practice:  All workshop participants will participate in practice debates, speeches and speech re-dos during the week.  You will leave the workshop prepared to debate the key issues on the topic.

Evidence on day one:  Our staff will produce over 200 pages of evidence to be provided on the first day.  Additional research will be done during the week.  All participants will receive a copy of all evidence.

Lowest price:  Our commitment is to provide the best experience at the lowest cost.  Just $200 for the week.  A few limited scholarships are available to those students with the highest need.  Contact the Director for information.

Dorm space available:  Stay on-campus.  $225 covers your room and board for the entire workshop.  Plus, you'll have access to additional camp staff for evening debate work.

Don't miss this great opportunity.  Sign up today and reserve your space in the workshop.  Send in your $25 deposit and guarantee access to a workshop that will make a difference to your competitive success this year.
